Congratulations Leanne Wheeler!

A very big 'Congratulations' to Leanne Wheeler who passed her driving test today at Failsworth Test Centre, Oldham on her 1st attempt with only 5 minor faults. Despite the awful weather conditions, Leanne delivered a fantastic drive and passed easily.
Leanne worked very hard at keeping her speed under control and perfecting those maneouvres and it certainly paid off.
Well done Leanne, take care and safe driving for life :-) xxx

Recent Passes!

Congratulations Claire Morris!

Well done Claire on passing her test today 4.4.11 at Failsworth Test Centre on only her 2nd attempt! Claire worked very hard and adapted perfectly to automatic after trying manual. Both myself (Mandy) and Hazel would like to wish Claire happy and safe driving for life.

Congratulations Sujata Reddy!

We would also like to congratulate Sujata who passed on 24.3.11 with myself (Mandy) at Rochdale Test Centre. We had a lot of help from my good friend Paul Monaghan ADI who kindly helped us learn the Rochdale area. Sujata can now hopefully enjoy her independence and her new career as a teaching assistant.

Sorry the photo isn't very good quality Laura! Well done to Laura who passed with myself (Mandy) on 17.3.11 at Failsworth Test Centre on her first attempt! Laura worked very hard on those manoeuvres and controlling her speed and it paid off. Enjoy your new found freedom Laura and see you for that coffee soon.

Congratulations Vicky Foote!

A very big congratulations to Vicky! We got there in the end eh! Vicky passed easily on 14.3.11 at Failsworth Test Centre. She can now drive herself to University and anywhere else for that matter! Well done Vicky!

Congratulations Elaine Boland on passing your test 4.9.10!

Congratulations Elaine Boland on passing your test today, 4th Sep. 2010 at Failsworth Test Centre.

Elaine worked really hard after coming to me from another driving school who had left her feeling a bit deflated. We worked really hard at confidence building and just needed reassurance that what she was doing was correct. A little work on those manoeuvres and you were one of my best Elaine.

It was a great drive today and you deserved to pass. All your hard work paid off and you can now get in your little Yaris and off you go. Watch out for those filter arrows.

Do you wear glasses to drive?

If yes, have you declared this when applying for your licence or notified the DVLA if you have recently been prescribed glassed for driving?

If not, you really should or you could find that if you have an accident your insurance company might not pay out. It is a legal requirement that you declare any visual impairment to the DVLA. If you have declared it, you should have the code '01' on the back of your photo card licence.

If you are a learner and you pass your test, the examiner will not take your licence off you to send away for replacement with a full licence if you wear glasses for the test and do not have the 01 code on the back of your licence. You would have to send your own licence off and must inform the DVLA that you wear glasses for driving.

Congratulations to Edith Thorley on passing her test today, 9.8.10, 1st attempt at Failsworth Test Centre, Oldham! Edith did so well to overcome those nerves and produce a fantastic drive and incur only 5 minor faults. She did us both proud. Edith worked very hard at building her confidence and took on board all the advice I gave her.

Keep up the good work Edith. Remember 'safe driving for life' and see you soon for either motorway lessons or your Pass Plus. Good luck buying your 1st car! You know where I am if you need any advice and phone me when you need those green P plates.
